It’s wonderful to be a sexual woman–to be sexually empowered. But, with that comes silly, silly men.

I came across a blog from a woman who writes erotica. In one of her posts, she mentions that writing about sex doesn’t mean she wants to have sex with every man!

I got a kick out of it because I understand what she means. I get interesting looks from men after they learn I’m the Spiritual Sexpert. They say, “Oooh…Spiritual Sexpert. What does that mean?”

Depending on my mood, I might retort back, “I write about sexual empowerment for women. I write for women.” They usually get the hint.

Recently I received an email from a guy asking “Are those are the only two massages you do?”

What? What massages? I did write about the lingam massage, but you can clearly read I was writing about a tantric technique for women to try on their lovers. No where in that post did I say I’m taking personal clients.

The only other massage I could think of that he might have been referring to is reiki healing, which isn’t even a massage! It’s energy healing that balances the mind, body, and spirit.

If he was referring to Reiki, this isn’t the first time. I once received an email from a man asking about my “Reiki Massages.” This man said, ”How much do you charge for your massages? This is the first time I’ve tried this kind of thing. I don’t want my wife to find out.”

Poor wife! Not only is her husband a jerk, he’s a bozo!

Men come across a sexual woman and all logic goes out the window! Even the shyest men will instantly grow some balls and make crude or sexual innuendos. More often, men feel they get a free pass and want to talk only about sex. Talking about sex is completely fine, but they usually become horny with intentions to sleep with the woman.

It almost seems that the more sexual a woman is, the more pushy a man becomes. With varying degrees of sexuality, all women should experience the same level of respect and treatment.

I’m reminded of an episode of Secret Diary of a Call Girl where Belle was assaulted by a client. It’s as if he justified his actions based upon her profession.

Men aren’t the only ones confused about sexual women. Women themselves are often perplexed. For instance, many hide their sexual feelings because good girls aren’t sexual. In my short story, Sex Chronicles of Caroline Rose, Caroline is conflicted with feelings of lust and beliefs that it’s wrong to express her sexuality. Writing about her life and how she overcomes these beliefs is a way for me to show women that it’s perfectly natural and normal to embrace your sexuality.

Caroline eventually lets loose and fantasizes about her gorgeous boss and a love interest sparks at work. But just as real life brings you hurt, sadness, and happiness, Caroline experiences the same. Women who have read her story tell me of the encouragement they have felt. I’ve only written Part 1 in the series and I’m already getting demands for the second!

Often some women feel negatively towards a sexual woman. She’s referred to as a “slut” or “whore” if she’s had multiple partners. Instead of uniting, women turn against each other.

With all the predictions surrounding 2012, one of them is my favorite. Many believe the energy will shift creating a balance of male and female energy. In other words, women will regain their power lost. Then maybe, a sexual woman will become more commonplace.
